RECEIPTS THIS WEEK: 94,435 LAST WEEK: 124,923 LAST YEAR: 104,391 VOLUME BY STATE OR PROVINCE OF ORIGIN: Illinois 17.7%, Manitoba 15.5%, Nebraska 15.5%, Iowa 9.1%, Missouri 9.1%, North Carolina 6.2%, Colorado 6.0%, Saskatchewan 5.3%, South Dakota 4.0%, Minnesota 3.9%, Wisconsin 2.6%, Ohio 1.7%, Montana 1.7%, Indiana 1.5%, VOLUME BY STATE OF DESTINATION: Iowa 78.7%, Minnesota 12.2%, Nebraska 6.7%, Michigan 1.7%, South Dakota 0.6%, TRENDS COMPARED TO LAST WEEK: Early weaned pigs 3.00 per head higher. All feeder pigs steady. Demand moderate for light to moderate offerings. Receipts include 44% formulated prices. These prices include freight and fees on a farm to farm basis. Most lots of 40-60 weight pigs have a sliding value from the negotiated weight basis which is calculated on the actual average weight of the load plus or minus .25-.40 per pound. Some early weaned lots have a slide of .50-1.00 per pound. Early weaned pigs are under 21 days old. Estimated lean value is projected to use slaughter weights with normal confinement feeding conditions. Vaccination and health program values are not included but health status should be disclosed.
